Welcome to our garden blog! We want to share what it takes to start and run a school based organic vegetable garden.
Our school garden enables us to integrate standards-based curriculum in exciting, hands-on ways such as service-learning projects. Growing food will also allow students to make decisions to change the environment and community as well as make healthy lifestyle choices.
We received a wonderful $2000 grant from Lowe's for our garden! We are so excited to have been chosen and to put their funds to good use so that the students get even more out of their time spent in the Raptor Patch. Thank you Lowe's!!!
