| Planting Strawberry and Raspberry plants that were donated from Fort Collins Nursery. |
Welcome to our garden blog! We want to share what it takes to start and run a school based organic vegetable garden. Our school garden enables us to integrate standards-based curriculum in exciting, hands-on ways such as service-learning projects. Growing food will also allow students to make decisions to change the environment and community as well as make healthy lifestyle choices.

Busy in the garden!
Second, Third and Fourth graders have been busy planting their veggie starts, picking weeds, watering and helping with special projects in the garden. They have been so enthusiastic and willing to get dirt under their nails. I love seeing them light up, get their energy out (or revved up!), solve problems and work as a team!
