They are donating a large part of the materials that we need to build the garden! They were more than happy to help us--no questions asked. I am amazed at how generous people are being when we tell them what we are doing.
JoAnn and John Valerius came up with a beautiful garden design. (My original one was pretty boring!) Nicole and Ronny Hicks are helping out with getting the rest of the materials we need and coming with their bobcat to do some of the heavy work!!!
Today the 2nd graders planted the seeds for the Native American Garden (corn, pole beans, squash, gourds, pumpkin, sunflowers)! They planted these in small pots that are under the grow lights in the Science Lab Room. I can't wait to see their seeds sprout and watch the kids transplant them into the garden in May.
